Membership Terms & Conditions

Membership Terms and Conditions

Effective from 1 December 2025

§1. General

Memberships at Alsik Spa can only be created by completing an application form at www.alsik.dk, no earlier than 1.5 months before the membership start date.

When registering for membership, personal information is collected and stored in our booking system. This system complies with the requirements of the Danish Data Protection Agency regarding the storage of personal data.

Age limit: 18 years. Paying day guests aged 16 and above may be brought along by members.

All members must register their arrival personally at the Spa Reception and collect a wristband to access doors and lockers in the changing rooms before beginning their visit to Alsik Spa. The wristband must be returned when checking out, at which time any purchases will also be settled.

Membership is personal and cannot be shared or transferred to another person. A profile photo will be taken on your first visit.

§2. Personal Information

To become a member of Alsik Spa, you must provide the following information upon registration: name, address, email address, telephone number and date of birth.

During your first visit, we will take a photo of you, which will be stored alongside your other personal information. The purpose of the photo is to identify you and prevent misuse of your membership.

If any of the personal information you provided when registering for membership changes, you must notify Alsik Spa immediately. As a member, you are responsible for ensuring that Alsik Spa always has your correct personal information, email address and payment card details.

By registering for membership at Alsik Spa, you accept these membership terms and conditions, our rules and regulations, and Alsik Spa’s applicable data protection policies. You also agree to receive email notifications regarding changes to your membership terms and conditions.

§3. Payment

Members are required to register a payment card on their profile to enable automatic monthly payments. Members are also responsible for keeping their payment card details up to date.

Ongoing online card payments constitute a continuous membership that remains active until terminated by either party in accordance with §7.

A membership with recurring online card payments is linked to your account details. These details are encrypted once entered. Membership fees are charged on the 1st of each month, with an additional fee of DKK 5 per payment.

§3a. Registration Fee

A registration fee of DKK 199 is charged when creating a new membership. This fee also applies if a member cancels their membership and subsequently wishes to rejoin.

§3b. Recurring Payments

When registering for a recurring membership, payment for the current month is made in advance by online card payment. The membership then continues automatically until cancelled.

Membership can be cancelled effective from the end of the current month, provided notice is given no later than the 25th.

§4. Late Payment

In the event of late payment, you will first receive a reminder on the 3rd of the month. If payment is still outstanding, your membership will be deactivated seven days later, and you will receive a further payment reminder.

If payment remains outstanding, your subscription will be terminated, and a fee of DKK 100 will be charged for non-payment.

Alsik Spa reserves the right to collect outstanding amounts in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. Outstanding amounts will be collected when you visit Alsik Hotel & Spa. You cannot use our facilities until all outstanding payments have been settled. Please note that your information will be shared with the hotel reception.

§5. Price Changes

You will be notified of any changes to your membership fee via the email address you provided, as stated in §1. You will be informed of price changes at least 30 days before they take effect.

If you do not wish to continue your membership as a result of a price change, you are entitled to cancel your membership in accordance with §7.

§5a. Changes to Membership Terms, Conditions and Prices

Alsik Spa reserves the right to make ongoing changes to membership terms and conditions, opening hours, rules and regulations, fees and prices, including the price of your membership. Such changes may occur in the following circumstances:

  • Where necessary to ensure that Alsik Spa complies with applicable legislation.
  • Where new factual circumstances or changes in private law make amendments to the membership terms and conditions necessary.

If you do not wish to continue your membership at the new price or under the revised terms and conditions, you may cancel your membership in accordance with §7.

§6. Membership Suspension

After three months of membership, you may suspend your membership for one month per calendar year. A suspension fee of DKK 99 applies.

Requests for suspension must be submitted in writing to [email protected] at least seven days before the requested start date. The suspension must always begin on the 1st of a month.

§7. Cancellation of Membership

Cancellation must always be submitted in writing to Alsik Spa by email at [email protected]. The cancellation must include your first and last name, membership number and the requested cancellation date.

Your cancellation takes effect on the day Alsik Spa receives your notice. If there is any doubt as to whether a membership has been cancelled, you must be able to prove that the cancellation was unequivocally submitted.

You will receive confirmation of your cancellation by email.

§7a. Notice Period

Membership can be cancelled effective from the end of a month. Cancellation must always be submitted in writing to [email protected] no later than the 25th of the current month.

§8. Persons Under 18

The minimum age for membership is 18. Paying day guests aged 16 and above may be brought along by members.

§9. Liability

All exercise, use of pools and access to other facilities are at your own risk. You are responsible for ensuring that your health condition allows you to participate in activities at Alsik Spa.

Alsik Spa accepts no liability for personal injuries sustained by members as a result of accidents, incorrect exercise techniques or the actions or omissions of other visitors. General Danish rules on liability and compensation otherwise apply.

§10. Valuables

Alsik Spa recommends storing all valuables in a locked locker during your visit. Remember to empty your locker on the same day after use.

Alsik Spa reserves the right to empty lockers at closing time without further notice. Alsik Spa accepts no liability for losses resulting from theft or damage to property, including theft from lockers.

Bags are not permitted inside the Spa and must be stored in the changing rooms.

§11. Rules and Regulations

Members and their guests must comply with the membership terms and conditions, current rules and regulations, posted Spa rules and all instructions given by Alsik Spa staff.

In the event of a material breach of the applicable membership terms and conditions or rules and regulations, Alsik Spa is entitled to terminate the membership immediately without refunding the membership fee.

As a member, we expect you to familiarise yourself with the applicable Spa rules and follow the instructions given by our staff. Members are also expected to set a good example, particularly when bringing guests, and to help ensure that their guests are familiar with and comply with the rules and regulations.

Repeated breaches of the general rules and regulations may result in termination of membership without a refund of the membership fee.

Depending on the severity of the breach, the process may begin with a verbal warning, followed by a written warning and, subsequently, termination of membership.

In serious cases, membership may be terminated immediately following a verbal warning.

Alsik Spa reserves the right to hold members accountable for the conduct of the guests accompanying them and to take any necessary action as a result.

§12. Group Exercise Classes

§12a. Booking and Cancellation

Bookings for group exercise classes at Alsik Spa are binding, out of consideration for other participants and any waiting lists.

Bookings can be made right up until the class starts via your online member profile, through our app (Alsikspa) or by contacting the Spa Reception.

Cancellations can only be made up to two hours before the class starts, either via your online member profile or by contacting the Spa Reception.

Failure to attend a booked class without cancelling will incur a fee of DKK 49 per occurrence, charged automatically.

You are responsible for checking in for your class via the app when checking in at reception to collect your wristband. This ensures your place and helps you avoid a no-show fee.

Please note that checking in for a class is only possible if location access is enabled in the app and you are physically present at the Spa Reception.

§12b. Attendance and Waiting Lists

Attendance must be registered no later than five minutes before the class starts. If you have not arrived five minutes before the start time, you will be considered a no-show and a fee of DKK 49 will automatically be charged.

Members on a class waiting list will automatically be notified if a place becomes available. An SMS notification system is used for waiting lists, and you will receive a text message if your position on the waiting list changes and you move closer to securing a place.

§13. Availability

Alsik Spa cannot guarantee availability on scheduled classes, as places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. You can book up to 10 classes at a time, with additional booking slots becoming available as you attend classes.

Please be aware that Alsik Spa may reach full capacity, and access to Alsik Spa cannot therefore be guaranteed. In such circumstances, staff are entitled to refuse entry to Alsik Spa members.

This may frequently occur at weekends and during holiday periods. Wherever possible, we will notify members of this by email. However, in some cases, access may also be refused on the day due to unexpectedly high occupancy.

§14. Right of Withdrawal

When registering for membership, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. However, if you choose a start date that falls outside the initial 14-day period, your right of withdrawal expires on the membership start date.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must send an email to [email protected].

If you use your membership within the 14-day period by visiting Alsik Spa, your right of withdrawal expires.

§15. Newsletters and Information

When registering for membership, you give your consent to receive the types of information you have selected. You may change your preferences or withdraw your consent at any time.

To do so, please email [email protected].
